USEF VAULTING HIGH PERFORMANCE TRAINING CAMP
For AVA Silver and Gold Medalists
November 3 - 4, 2007
The United States Equestrian Federation will host the first training
camp of the 2008 season on November 3 – 4 in the San Francisco Bay
Area. The camp will feature national and international experts in
vaulting. Details on the schedule and location will be available mid-
October.
The November camp will be open to a maximum of 20 vaulters. We are
trying a new format this year to promote silver level vaulters
participation in training camps. Vaulters will be split into three
levels – High Performance 1, High Performance 2 and High Performance
3. Each of these levels will then be divided into small groups to
ensure that individualized instruction can be given.
Participants will be selected based on the Silver and High
Performance Ranking Lists, as well as past performance in camps,
international experience and fitness. Team and first year silver
vaulters are asked to submit Bronze or Team compulsory score sheets
with their applications.
To ensure that the level of the camp is kept high, we ask each
vaulter to meet a minimum fitness level. Please refer to the next
page for our standards. All participants should be able to meet these
standards by the camp.
There will be a small number of travel grants available. If you
would like to be considered for a travel grant, please indicate so on
the application.
The participation fee is $125. Checks should be made payable to USEF
and sent to Pam Lane, Director of Vaulting Activities, PO Box 83,
Gladstone, NJ 07934.
All applications must be received by September 26. Applications may
be emailed to plane@usef.org or faxed or sent via US Mail. No late
applications will be accepted.
Applications are available on the USEF website: www.usef.org.
