USEF/AVA National Championships
NEWS AND UPDATES
- AVA BOARD MEETING will be held on Saturday, July 31 at 7pm
at the Ramada Inn, 4770 Calle Real, Santa Barbara.
The agenda will be posted as soon as possible.
- New Policy on BUDDY HORSES
Well behaved buddy horses will be allowed; however, they will be restricted to certain areas.
All buddy horses and handlers must be properly presented.
Handlers may be in riding attire, longeing attire or other appropriate attire. No levis, shorts, t-shirts or flip-flops will be allowed.
Horses should be presented in vaulting equipment with or without surcingles and side reins. Bridles are required with reins, lead or stud chain.
The gate manager or judges may dismiss any buddy horse that is not properly presented or is disruptive or poses any danger to other horses or competitors and that horse will not be allowed in the arena (as a buddy horse) for the rest of the competition.
- MEDAL TESTS will be available. If you want to have a Medal Test at Nationals, please email Linda Bibbler or Marianne Rose asap. Please be sure to complete your Medal Test Application forms and submit them to the AVA Medal Test Secretary by June 29 to avoid the late fee. For the date, please mark "July 29 - August 1" and for Judges, please list all Judges at Nationals. After entries are in, you will be advised the date and time of your test(s).-
