All horses entering the Kentucky Horse Park grounds must have a valid proof of negative Coggins Test (within 12 months). A 30 day certificate of veterinary inspection is required for all horses arriving from outside the state of Kentucky.
Air travel Options:
For Domestic Horses (horses currently residing in the U.S.): U.S. horses are not required to fly into an airport with a USDA approved quarantine facility. Greg Otteson of H.E. Sutton Forwarding Company, LLC, KY Headquarters, 4025 Airport Road, Lexington, KY 40510 says that as of 2/2/09 horses from Southern California can fly out of Ontario airport directly to Lexington Bluegrass Airport. Horses flying out of Oakland, CA or Portland, OR can fly via FedEx Freight to Indianapolis, IN. These illustrate different flight options depending on the place of origin.
